WIN the FAMOUS GRO CLOCK!
Pam’s 12 Days of Christmas – Day 1
Oh man, one of the toughest nuts to crack after a baby/child has learned HOW to sleep, is early wakings. It is the bane of my existence after nine years of full time consulting and one of the most challenging things for my Dream Team to fix.
Well rested babies and children like to start their day between 6 am and 7 am. This is natural sleep science, aka biological clock, aka circadian rhythm. I have helped clients successfully work against nature and in some cases, we have had children sleep from 8:30 pm to 8:00 ish the next day which is a dreamy situation to be if you do not have anywhere to go in the morning.
The before 6 am wake ups are by far the most aggravating problem for parents and they can be resolved. It takes work and lots of patience with babies, but can be done. Check out my blog for helpful ideas and strategies HERE and HERE. A lot has to do with timing, improving daytime sleep and adjusting when your child goes to bed. In most cases, children are going to bed TOO LATE. I know, crazy. Isn’t it? You would think that the later they go to bed, the later they would rise. It is the exact opposite.
For toddlers and up, I LOVE to introduce a clock.
With a toddler clock, you can teach your precious little one when it is time to sleep, rather than time to wake up and party in their crib. I have recommended them with children as young as 15 months. To learn HOW to introduce a toddler clock to your little one, make sure to read Pam’s Toddler Clock Tips!
The most popular toddler clock by far is the Gro Clock. I am so delighted to be able to share it with you on our 12 days of Christmas Giveaway thanks to our local distributor, Natelle with Oyaco Products Inc, who graciously gave us one to give away.
If your little bundle of joy is still a baby, trust me. You still want to enter today’s contest. This clock will come in handy down the road. I promise you. You will love me for it.
